My first Tshirt redeisgn.  I have had this white shirt forever, and it was starting to get old and boring.

I was checking out my inspiration blogs and found THIS

She redid her Tshirt, and I loved it, so it inspired me to redo one of mine!  All I did was add dark pink pleated strips in a diagonal.  It was super easy and actually fun!!

I LOVE IT!

My mom is AMAZINGLY talented and creative.  She loves making things, and recently she has been very into cards.  These are a few she made for Christmas.

These are all made with stamps and embossing.  Isn't she wonderful?  I'm trying to convince her to blog about her art and stuff because she is an amazing artist in general.

My first Shirring with elastic attempt!

I really liked it! and I posted a picture of just the garment on me, and then the magazine shot (AKA with accesories and stuff!)  Personally because of my modesty standards I will wear it with the cardigan and such.  I just paired it with a pair or dark denim skinny jeggings.

It took me about an hour, and I used a 3x3 rib knit with lace to line the hem and bottom of the shirring part to add a little flair and originality.

So clearly I show most of my creativity with clothing.  I go to a fashion school, its what I am learning.
This is how I create with the computer aiding me.

This is for my portfolio class, and I am doing wedding dresses for Vera Wang remodeled for Winter/Holiday seasons of 2011.

Just a few ideas, and ways to create.  I have a skirt I made that I was originally going to wear for Halloween, but didn't happen so I will put that up tomorrow probably after class.

Show me how do YOU create?

I'm a Mormon.
So I have had this dress for ages that I bought when I first moved out to LA, and I loved it, except for two reasons. It looked very close to this.

1- It was SHORT
2- It was empire waisted, but the chest part was up too high.

So, finally I was going through my closet and deicded to make it into a skirt!

Here is the finished product!

Now I am all ready to go to church! Perfect!!
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!
This is when I really try and be creative, but I dont have a very "gory" side, so it usually turns into just costumes.

My (now not) Roomie Ali and I decided to go as a pair.  She was a devil and I was an Angel!

And, everythis was fairly simple (because we bought the basics)  I only made the tutus!
Which turned out wonderfully and worked amazing.

I had never worked with elastic thread before, but now I LOVE it.  Seriously! If you are a sewer, or are trying to learn.  That is the EASIEST way to gather something.  Its just wonderful.  I am going to make a shirt or something soon with a smocked neckline.  Maybe today after church?  We will see!

This is more then about showing off work, its about showing that creativity is pure and it comes from the heart of anyone, and everyone has the ability to create something beautiful.  Each time you create something it stirs up your soul and makes your inner self smile.  Which in turn helps you love your outer self.
